History

TMP CO.,LTD.

1970: Established with capital of 50 million yen, jointly funded (50-50) by Tokyo Denki Kagaku Kogyo Co., Ltd. (now TDK Corporation) and Toppan Printing Co., Ltd. (now TOPPAN Holdings Inc.). Originally established as Tokyo Magnetic Printing Co., Ltd.
1972: Kansai Sales Office established.
1973: Tamagawa Plant completed.
1974: Magnetic tape for passbooks developed.
1976: Systemkiki Hanbai CO.,LTD. established.
1982: Sagamihara Plant established; capital increased to 100 million yen.
1985: Production of telephone cards started.
1986: Sagamihara-Kita Plant established; capital increased to 200 million yen.
1988: Takino Plant completed; capital increased to 400 million yen.
1991: Increased capital to 1 billion yen.
1996: Sagamihara-Nishi Plant started operations.
Production of contactless IC cards started.
1999: Production of NRT/NR units (information processing equipment) started.
2000: Production of Passnet cards started.
Acquired ISO9001 certification.
2001: Full-fledged production of CMP slurry for Cu interconnection in LSI started.
2005: Company name changed to TMP CO.,LTD.
Head Office moved to Sagamihara Plant.

2007: Merger of Toppan Label Co., Ltd. and TMP Co., Ltd., with capital of 2.5 billion yen, company name changed to Toppan TDK Label Co., Ltd.
2008: Production of Fired film/Green sheet started.
2017: Head Office moved to Shibaura.

2019: Due to the cancellation of the joint venture agreement between Toppan Printing Co., Ltd. (currently TOPPAN Holdings Co., Ltd.) and TDK Corporation, the new company name was changed to Toppan Infomedia Co., Ltd.
2022: Production of Film Heater started.
2023: Capital reduced to 500 million yen.
2025: Renamed to TOPPAN Infomedia Inc. as part of strengthening TOPPAN Group branding and governance.

2026: Succeeded the industrial materials business from TOPPAN Infomedia Inc. through an absorption-type corporate split and was established as TOPPAN Industrial Materials Inc.
